ProNotes will occasionally connect to pronotes.app to check for updates if and only if “Check for updates automatically” is enabled.

ProNotes will send crash reports to Sentry if “Share anonymous crash reports” is enabled. These crash reports are anonymous and do not contain personal data.

If you have ProNotes Gold, upon triggering an AI action (e.g. Summarize), ProNotes will send the current note content our API server, which performs a license validation, forwards the call to OpenAI, and streams the response back. We don’t store any data in this process. No data is sent to ProNotes or OpenAI without an explicit AI-related action from your end.

If you have ProNotes Gold, ProNotes will occasionally connect to our license server to check that your license is currently valid.
